Glow-riously Green Super Smoothie

Since this past Monday was St. Patrick’s day, I decided to have my own little commemoration despite the fact that I have no Irish in me whatsoever. But hey, nothing wrong with getting into the spirit of things right? I did not wear any shamrock nor was I downing any bubbly Irish brew – but I did ‘Go Green’. Unlike a few years ago when I was pub-hopping in my ‘Kiss me I’m Irish’ tee just for some kicks, this year was a little – well a lot- different. It was still very much green only it took place in my kitchen with me in an apron.

I finally perfected a fussy husband-approved Super Smoothie that’s so good for your inner body, outer glow and your touchy tastebuds. I’m personally not a big fan of veggies in my smoothie but this one taste just like pudding I promise! Let me list out the fabulous benefits of the main ingredients so you’ll understand why this shake is so awesome and especially Glow-rious for your skin!

Spinach – great for heart, brain, eyes & menstruating women. also provides oxygen, energy and relief from dry, itchy skin giving you a more radiant complexion.

Coconut water – help with weight loss, digestion, hydration & blood pressure. also clears up, moisturises and tones the skin.

Avocado – promote healthy heart & eyes with anti ageing properties. regulate blood sugar & cholesterol levels. nourishes the skin to make it glow.

Banana – packed with energy, strengthen nervous system, aid digestion & combat depression.

Spirulina – provide strength, endurance, rapid healing effects and help balance blood sugar & cholesterol levels. enhances detoxification.

Bee Pollen – good for anti ageing purposes including skin, hair & memory.

Pistachios – facilitate healthy heart, eyes, blood and overall immune system. essential for maintaining cell membranes which promotes beautiful skin. also protect skin from UV damage and provide defence against premature ageing.
